More than 40 volunteers helped Friends of Trees kick off our 24th planting season by adding nearly 500 native trees and shrubs to Happy Valley on Saturday, Oct. 13.

A huge thanks to Timber Joey, the Portland Timbers (especially Timbers Defenders Ian Hogg and Chris Taylor), the Timbers Army, Hands On Greater Portland, and all of the volunteers who helped us make a great start to our planting season!

Saturday’s event was the first of our plantings this year to restore the Rock Creek Watershed through the Rock Creek Partnership with Clackamas County Water Environment Services, SOLVE, and the Clackamas River Basin Council.
