Summer is our slower season with fewer volunteer opportunities. We’re preparing the planting event calendar for 22-23, and will update this online calendar in late August with the October ’22 – April ’23 events. Download a printable version of last season’s Portland planting event calendar here, and check out our Eugene events here.
Event registration is required to attend: Click on the event of your choice and follow the RSVP link to register for an event. No experience necessary!
Both groups and individuals are welcome: your help is needed! Due to some smaller event sizes this season, we encourage you to register as soon as you’re able – many events fill up. If you are a company or group interested in a private event on a weekday, please see our private events webpage.
Accessibility: If there is any accommodation you need to make your event experience successful, please don’t hesitate to let us know. That’s what we’re here for! Many of our events have varying levels of accessibility, learn more about our event accessibility.
Covid-19 Safety Protocols: The health and safety of volunteers and staff is our utmost priority. Friends of Trees requires that all volunteers eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine be fully vaccinated and willing to show proof at our events if asked. Volunteers not eligible (ie, youth under the age of 5 or highly immunocompromised folks) are still welcome and are highly encouraged to wear their mask for the full event. Face masks are required for everyone when arriving at the event and through the event intro, and please respect 6′ or more of physical distance from anyone not in your own household. We will continue to align our safety protocols with the most recent CDC guidelines. If you have questions, please visit our Covid-19 & Volunteer FAQ page.
