In a continued effort to prepare for the planting season, late last month Friends of Trees staffers dedicated a work day to cleaning and organizing its parking lot.

The all-hands-on-deck event saw plenty of bushwhacking, dumpster trips and elbow grease, but it was also about organizing for the upcoming planting season, the biggest in 20 years.

As you’ll see to the right, no task was left unaccounted for: stakes are purchased and stacked; plant markers are glued and standing at attention; mulch buckets are stacked and pre-loosened; new dumpster is large and hungry; tools are clean and sorted; and the wheel barrels have been given full tune-ups.

Are you ready for the planting season? Keep an eye out on the countdown to the right, and check out the online schedule to verify when Friends of Trees is coming to your neighborhood.
