Less paper, more trees: Paperless billing is an easy way to give to Friends of Trees

Plant It Portland! Couple

This month Portland General Electric is offering a great way to be “twice as nice” to the environment.

PGE will donate $1 to Friends of Trees for each customer who signs up for paperless billing between March 1 and April 15. You can save paper and trees—and plant trees, too—with just a couple clicks of your mouse. I just signed up, and it took me 30 seconds!

Don’t wait. Go to PortlandGeneral.com/Paperless and sign up today. In addition to benefiting Friends of Trees and the environment, you’ll make your life easier. No more searching for misplaced bills or collecting extra paper to recycle. If you choose, you can take the additional step of signing up to pay online. Then you can save money and trees by not having to write checks and stamp envelopes.

Thank you, PGE, for supporting Friends of Trees as you encourage customers to simplify their lives and enhance the environment. PGE has also sponsored five planting events this season, including the upcoming March 5 planting in the Mt. Tabor and Montavilla neighborhoods. PGE is co-sponsoring that event with The Oregonian.
