Are you free on Wednesdays to plant trees?

By Jenny Bedell-Stiles

Did you know Friends of Trees has mid-week plantings on Wednesdays? We don’t only plant on Saturdays, and we’re looking for a few folks to help us out mid-week! We ask volunteers to arrive at the Friends of Trees office (3117 NE MLK Blvd, map) by 9:30 am. We promise to have you back to the office by 1:00 pm or so. A volunteer or two and a staff member will go out for a few hours in a FOT vehicle to plant either neighborhood or natural area trees.

We only take a few volunteers each Wednesday, so it’s important that when you commit, you try your best to make it that day. If it strikes you as a fun idea to work closely with our staff or to be part of a small weekday planting team, then our Wednesday plantings might be for you! Our next openings are for Jan 23 and 30. Please fill out our Volunteer Interest Form if you’d like to join us!

Join us for a Wednesday planting and make a difference in a few short hours! (FOT file)
