Friends of Trees planting sponsor featured on Discovery channel
See Terrill Collier, past chair of the Tree Care Industry Association, interviewed in a Discovery Channel feature on arboriculture and its role in environmental stewardship.
“This was filmed in my back yard overlooking the Willamette Valley,” says Terrill. “Note how the fir trees are ‘windowed.'”
Windowing refers to selective branch removal that allows views without topping trees or harming tree health. The windowed trees created a frame for the background of the video.
Collier Arbor Care is a longtime planting sponsor of Friends of Trees. Terrill, his son, and their dog were featured in a Friends of Trees Why I Plant Trees ad in The Oregonian on May 9.
