Stop the Bull Run Takeover

Friends of Trees has joined 37 other local non-profit organizations, neighborhood groups and unions in opposing the upcoming ballot initiative to remove control of the water and sewer bureaus from Portland City Council.
We do not believe that this will lower water rates (except maybe for the large industrial water users who are bankrolling the campaign).
We do believe that it will remove funding from green infrastructure projects like green streets and street tree planting. Please check out the website and join the Facebook group.
