Parke Diem! Give back to Forest Park with us.

By Andy Meeks

Do you love Forest Park and want to give it a boost?  Help remove English ivy from its big, beautiful  trees on Saturday, October 12th with Friends of Trees.  It’s the Forest Park Conservancy annual Day of Stewardship – a park-wide event aimed at helping put a polish on Portland’s gem.  Join us to help make it a success!

Our Forest Park events are always extremely popular and space is very limited.  You must reserve your spot(s) in advance by filling out this form:

FOREST PARK VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION

As an added bonus, there will be a pizza lunch provided at the end of the event and we’ll be raffling off fun prizes!

Fun times in Forest Park! (February 2012)

This event will run from 9:00am – 1:00pm.  No experience is necessary!  We provide gloves, tools and trained volunteer guidance, as well as breakfast treats and coffee.  All you need to do is show up around 8:45am and be dressed appropriately for the weather.

Please sign-up using our online form or by calling Andy or Jenny at 503-595-0213.  Once you sign up, we’ll contact you with specific details for the day. Thanks!

This event is also part of Parke Diem — a two-day celebration on October 11-12 to highlight Portland’s parks legacy and how volunteerism can support that legacy. More than 50 projects involving dozens of organizations and up to 1,000 volunteers will have an impact and raise awareness.  Parke Diem is presented by the Portland Parks Foundation.
