SIGN UP TO BE A STEWARD:

We are also looking for volunteers aka “stewards.” Stewards are needed to help guide a group of 50 huggers to their correct location and set them up for hugging. Stewards will need to bring a smartphone with video or camera with video in order to film their team of 50 huggers to provide proof to Guinness World Records.

Portland Timbers mascot Timber Joey & Friends of TreesGarry Oak will be on hand to help hug and set the world record. Need any further incentives? All tree hug participants will receive a coupon for a complimentary beverage from one of several participating local breweries. Register online now to sign up, and you can choose to purchase a commemorative t-shirt! All proceeds will support Hoyt Arboretum. And the day isn’t just about hugs; we’ll have fun activities and tree information on site for adults and kids.

NOTE: Parking will be far and few between so biking or public transportation is Highly Recommended!  Trimet
