Oregon film office says thanks to Leverage by planting trees!

Dean Devlin, Producer of Leverage, and Oregon Sen. Ginny Burdick (Frank DiMarco)

By Jane Ridley and Greg Tudor

The Oregon Film & Television Office thanked Leverage for four great seasons of shooting in the Portland metro area by donating four trees to be planted at Friends of Trees plantings in the next two months. Leverage’s producer, Dean Devlin, was presented a certificate by Oregon Sen. Ginny Burdick noting the dates and neighborhoods where the trees will be planted. (Naturally, the certificate was printed on 100% recycled, FSC certified paper.)

Given Devlin’s interest in green issues (he was executive producer on the documentary Who Killed The Electric Car), it was an appropriate way to say a big thank you for choosing Portland and keeping the memory of Leverage alive and well for years to come. Friends of Trees thanks Oregon Film and Leverage for choosing a leafy way to leave a legacy in Portland!

Ridley is Project Manager with Oregon Film and Tudor is Development Manager with Friends of Trees.
