Friends of Trees’ last official bike planting of the season will take place this Saturday, March 5, as part of the Montavilla and Mt. Tabor annual planting. We’re looking for anyone willing to help with our two-wheeled plantings because they allow us to do our good work and be carbon-negative in the process.

Anyone interested in joining one of our bike crews is asked to register online so we know how many bike crews we’ll be organizing at the event.

Otherwise, all you need to do is bring your bike and join the other volunteers at Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church, 5441 SE Belmont Street (map), by 8:45 a.m.—in time to sign in and fuel up on morning snacks.

All volunteers are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes or boots and to dress for the elements. We will provide gloves, tools, and all of the guidance needed to support our mission—to bring people together to plant trees and restore green spaces in the Portland-Vancouver metro area!

The March 5 Mt. Tabor and Montavilla planting is sponsored by Portland General Electric and The Oregonian.

Please do consider joining us for this exciting opportunity. For more information, feel free to contact me at [email protected] or 503-282-8846 ext. 18.
