Three I-205 blog posts, 70 comments and counting

Friends of Trees is only a few weeks into its I-205 multi-use path partnership with Metro and ODOT, and already there is an uproar.

News posts on the bike forum BikePortland.org announcing the plantings and later a follow-up have garnered over 60 comments so far, some of the confrontational sort. More comments from the bike community trickled to our tree blog, too.

We’re flattered with the attention this three-year partnership is garnering and we encourage everyone to view our planting photos on Flickr and read all the information on our blog regarding the planning that took place (check out the ‘Metro,’ ‘ODOT,’ or ‘I-205’ tags).

And of course, all path users and public citizens are welcome to come to our next planting on Jan. 9 at NE Marine Dr. and 112th Ave.
