Plant It Portland! thanks you

Friends of Trees thanks all of you who have purchased trees for your homes through our Plant It Portland! campaign. You’re helping us approach our goal of planting more than 5,000 trees in Portland neighborhoods this year.

Sprout Health, which featured Friends of Trees as a community group to support in December, is impressed with the strong sense of community in Portland.

“It has definitely inspired and encouraged us to make Sprout a community space where people can come to meet others for tea, to cook a healthy meal together, or enjoy practicing yoga with their community,” said Sprout Health’s Erin Giacomelli. “We love Portland’s dedication to staying fit and eating right.”

Friends of Trees also thanks Lee Farms and Blount International, Inc. for supporting Plant It Portland! this December. Lee Farms writes:

When holiday revelers go to Lee Farms to pick out the perfect Christmas tree this year, they’ll be invited to make a donation to the Friends of Trees Plant it Portland! campaign. Portland-based Blount International, Inc., a leading manufacturer of equipment, accessories and replacement parts for the global forestry, garden and construction industries, will match customer donations, pledging a guaranteed minimum donation of $1,000.

Located at 21975 SW 65th Ave. in Tualatin, Lee Farms is a popular family destination during the holidays, with U-cut and pre-cut Christmas trees available. Customers are welcomed by Santa Claus, as well as hot apple cider, apple cider donuts, espresso and an area in which customers can make their own holiday wreaths.
