Friends of Trees has gone global! Not only was our March 19 planting featured on Taiwan’s Central News Agency, but a French TV crew filmed Friends of Trees and other Portland groups today.

Working with Portland State University’s First Stop Portland, which connects global leaders with Portland’s innovators in sustainability, Arte Reportage plans to present Portland as the America of the Future.

Arte Reportage broadcasts to the general public in France and Germany, and to people with cable subscriptions in Denmark, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and Belgium.

Today Arte Reportage filmed street cars, farmers markets, green buildings, the Community Cycling Center, and Friends of Trees.

Friends of Trees is honored to be included in Arte Reportage’s documentary and in CNA’s broadcast about Tzu Chi Academy families who planted with us along the I-205 Multi-Use Path.

Thank you CNA, Tzu Chi Academy, Arte Reportage, First Stop Portland, and First Stop Portland Program Director Nancy Hales!
