Friends of Trees Phone Bank for ‘Yes on Measure 26-152’ – May 9

This May, voters in the Portland-Metropolitan region will have the opportunity to support natural-areas stewardship on their ballots. Measure 26-152 is a natural-areas levy that will do all these things: enhance and restore our region’s highest value natural areas; maintain cold, clean water in our streams and rivers; provide critical habitat for salmon, birds, and other wildlife; and leave a nature-rich legacy for the next generation. Friends of Trees has made passing Measure 26-152 a priority. Help out by calling voters!

To pass Measure 26-152, we need to turn out supportive voters to the May 21 Special Election. Phone banks will make contact with known conservation voters to make sure they know to vote “yes” on Measure 26-152 this May. Friends of Trees is sponsoring a phone bank from 5:30-8:30 pm on Thursday, May 9, and we encourage all Friends of Trees volunteers, members and supporters to come out and help with this vital work.

Our work should be simple. For the measure to pass, voters need to hear two things: 1) it will cost an average of $20 per household annually, and 2) it will improve water quality.

If you can’t make the Audubon event, the Oregon League of Conservation Voters is organizing additional phone banks from 5:30-8:30 every Sunday through Thursday, from April 7 to May 17. If you can attend, please send an RSVP to Miguel Lopez ([email protected], 503-224-4011) with OLCV.

Phone banks will be held at the Oregon League of Conservation Voters office, located at 133 SW 2nd Ave, Ste 200, Portland.
