Celebrate trees in April

Happy tree month! National Arbor Day is April 24, while Oregon sets aside the first full week of April to celebrate trees, Washington celebrates on April 8, and Portland sets aside the entire month.

Here are some great ways to join local individuals, businesses, and teams in ramping up support for trees this month. (Every day in April is a Friends of Trees Day!)

  • Last September I started collecting Oak acorns to see if I could grow them into trees. I set a goal of planting a 1000 trees. For my first attempt I was able to get over 650 trees started. I was inspired by a French short film The Man Who Planted Trees (1987) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_7yEPNUXsU that made me think I could make a difference.

I was wondering if you would be interested in the trees I have?

    Regards,
    D..
