Friends of Trees will be leading a series of trees walks around local ash groves in Eugene and Springfield this summer.

Join us on July 17th for a tree walk beginning and ending at the Amazon Station Park and Ride, 649 E 29th Ave, Eugene. Meet at the meeting site by 4pm. The walk will conclude back at the meeting location around 6pm.

No pre-registration required. Free & all welcome!

Join us on August 14th for a tree walk beginning and ending at the Mill Race Path Trailhead at Jasper Road, 3200 Jasper Rd, Springfield. Meet at the meeting site by 4pm. The walk will conclude back at the meeting location around 6pm.

Join us on September 4th for a tree walk beginning and ending at Bethel Community Park, 5700 Babe Ruth Dr, Eugene. Meet at the meeting site by 4pm. The walk will conclude back at the meeting location around 6pm.

Planting Crew Leaders are trained volunteers who lead small groups of people to plant trees and have fun at our community planting events. Friends of Trees cannot run these events without the support of this valued position!  After your training, we expect you to help lead a crew at 4 Saturday morning events Oct-April (select for events that fit your schedule!).

This is an In-Person training for new Crew Leaders in the Green Space program.  Please note: trainees will need to have completed the online training before they attend this session.  The online session will be emailed to you, and you'll have two weeks to complete it before this in-person training.

Trainees can expect to plant different root stocks, learn about tree identification, hone your inclusive leadership skills, and meet the staff you'll be working alongside! Lunch provided, as well as a "Tree Team" tshirt!
