Prefers full sun to partial shade, sandy loam to soils with some clay. Tolerant of drought and pollution once established. Grows faster than other cultivars.
Good urban street tree. Selected for its low height and broad spreading shape, this cultivar has an ideal shape for street plantings under utility lines. Its red fall color is a surprising extra feature.
