Characteristics:
Medium-sized tree with a rounded crown and beautiful chains of white, fragrant flowers. Leaf color is a bright vibrant green in the summer changing to a beautiful yellow in the fall.

Growing Conditions:
Tree grows well in full sun; likes moist, fertile, well-drained soils. Prune in summer to avoid "bleeding" that occurs in winter and spring. Advised to protect from winter wind. Very few disease and insect problems associated with this tree.

Uses:
Great street tree for wide planting strips. Pest free, wonderful showy flowers and foliage.

Flowers:
Large pendulous inflorescences are composed of many small, white, fragrant flowers blooming in May and transforming the tree into a dripping white waterfall. It alternate bloomer, flowering heavily one year, then resting the next.

Leaves:
Glossy, dark green foliage with yellow fall color.

Bark:
Smooth, light gray bark throughout trees lifespan.
