Characteristics:
Named for the large white clusters of flowers that form in June. At maturity this tree is often wider then it is tall and the canopy can spread up to 30 feet. Also notable is the striking fall color. The deep green foliage of summer changes to hues of yellow, orange, and red in the fall.

Growing Conditions:
Tolerates some shade but does best in full sun locations.

Uses:
The fruit of this tree is attractive to birds and local wildlife. An example of this tree can be found in the therapeutic Children�s Garden at Portland�s Legacy-Emanuel Hospital.
