Easy to Maintain Fall Colors

Characteristics:
One of the first maples to leaf out in the spring, this small tree is certainly one of the hardiest maples. Gorgeous glossy dark green leaves in the summer changing to yellow and red in the fall.

Growing Conditions:
Easily transplanted and tolerant of a wide range of soil types and pH ranges. Does best in moist and well-drained soils.

Uses:
Great for small places and under wires.

There can be a large variation in color between trees of the same species. Closely related to A. tartaricum.
