Growing Conditions:
Prefer drier, warm, inland locations, but can tolerate moderately wet soils.

Uses:
Edible fruit. Pollinate w/Bartlett or other European pear. The Anjou is an all-purpose pear whose dense flesh makes it excellent for snacking, cooking, and slicing fresh into salads or over a bowl of oatmeal.

Five-petalled, white flowers up to 1-1/2

Leaves:
Bright green, oval, slightly curved, leaves come to a point at the end.

Bark:
Dark gray cracking into small, blocky plates with age.

More Information:
Requires cross pollination with Bartlett or any other pear with the same bloom date. The tree is very hardy, large and highly productive.
