In response to yesterday’s post about what likely is the largest tree house in the world, a business owner submitted information about the tree houses she provides.

Schuyler Silva is founder and owner of Elevated Living, an eco-friendly tree house provider that uses second growth logs.

Silva said her new company has built one custom tree house so far—price range from $10,000-15,000—for a homeowner in Southwest Portland.

This tree house in Tennessee is over 10,000 square feet and 10 stories tall, according to treehugger.com

Made of entirely recycled lumber, the popular tourist attraction apparently cost the owner only $12,000 to make, most of which was spent on nails.

The structure is built in, around, and on top of a tree, technically making it a tree house.
