SALEM CREW LEADER TRAINING

Available Online: October 27th - November 10st, 2023

WELCOME!

Thank you for joining us as a Friends of Trees Planting Crew Leader!

Our planting programs plant upwards of 50,000 trees and native shrubs every year, and we couldn’t do it without the help of dedicated volunteers like you. Thank you for volunteering your time and for joining the Friends of Trees Crew Leader community. Friends of Trees has two planting programs in Salem: Green Space and Neighborhood  Trees. Green Space plants primarily small stock native trees and shrubs in natural spaces and riparian corridors, and Neighborhood Trees plants larger stock trees at people’s homes and in public parks. As a Salem Crew Leader, you will have the opportunity to co-lead crews for both programs. While this virtual training primarily covers the Green Space Program, we will make sure to give you the rundown on Neighborhood Trees at our in-person event on November 11th!

We will always strive to be a welcoming and safe place for everyone, regardless of age, ability, race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, economic status, or any other identity that makes us unique. We really appreciate that you are taking the time to complete this training at home, and we look forward to meeting you on November 11th at our training event!
