13-year-old urges United Nations & the world to plant more trees
This amazing story on CNN is about a 13-year-old boy who’s quickly becoming the world’s spokesperson for planting trees. Both he and Nobel Peace Laureate Wangari Maathai, who was featured on National Public Radio a week ago, addressed the United Nations about the importance of planting trees earlier this month.
Felix Finkbeiner is eloquent and persuasive. His own organization, “Plant for the Planet,” wants to see millions of trees planted across the world.
“We cannot trust that the adults alone will save our future,” he said. “We have to take our future in our own hands.”
