A lot of ‘tree’ content from The New York Times this week, including this article entitled “Palestinians Try a Less Violent Path to Resistance.”

Above, Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad is pictured planting a tree in the West Bank last month. Fayyad’s tree-planting technique appears to be relatively similar to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who planted a tree in late January.

While Friends of Trees usually frowns against planting trees in white cardigans, all volunteers are welcome, and gloves and tools are provided for all.
