WHEN: Thursday, July 18. Please arrive at 5:15 pm to register for the event, which runs from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

WHERE: Doss Farm, 21771 SE Tillstrom Road in Damascus. (map)

WEAR: All we ask is that folks dress appropriately and wear sturdy close-toed shoes.

WHAT ELSE: Friends of Trees will provide gloves, tools, and guidance, as well as snacks and cool refreshments.

Doss Farm is a new restoration site for Friends of Trees, one of several sites where we’re planting and caring for native plants as part of the Rock Creek Partnership in conjunction with the Clackamas River Basin Council and SOLVE.

The Clackamas River provides drinking water to more than 400,000 people, and the Partnership is working at numerous sites throughout the watershed over the course of several years to eliminate invasive plants and restore native vegetation. This will not only help clean drinking water, but also provide habitat for native species and shade the creek banks to help lower water temperatures.

If you’d like to bring a group of ten or more people with you, please contact Jenny Bedell-Stiles in advance at [email protected].
