Crew leader training at Audubon Society
Green Space Initiative held a crew leader training and planting at the Audubon Society, Nov. 14.
Veteran crew leaders trained about 30 rookies on safety and planting techniques like tubing, mulching and matting.
Four hundred trees and shrubs were planted before lunch. The species list includes: Cascara; Vine Maple; Nootka Rose; Western Hemlock; Grand Fir; Douglas Spiraea; Red-osier Dogwood; Snowberry; Pacific Yew; Pacific Ninebark; Western Redcedar; Salal; and Indian Plums.
