Does your workplace engage in employee volunteer activities as a group? Yes? Consider joining Friends of Trees to plant or care for trees and natural areas near you!
With planting sites across Multnomah, Washington, Marion and Clackamas Counties, Friends of Trees creates customized, private events that perfectly meet the needs of a wide range of groups. Employers use these events as team-building activities; to fulfill volunteer goals that are part of a business’s mission or culture; or to simply give back to their local community.
These events take place on weekdays and are easily scaled up for larger groups. Event activities range from native tree plantings to tree care (spreading mulch, removing invasive plants). A group of 20-30 people will typically plant and care for about 350 plants, making for a busy (but not grueling!) planting experience over a 3-4 hour event.
“We thank your whole team again for an awesome morning! The players really enjoyed it knowing they were able to make a meaningful impact at the Sandy River Delta.” -Lesley Dawson, Portland WinterhawksÂ
