Characteristics:
Pyramidal-rounded in form with deep green spring color. Spectacular fall color in the red-purple range of hues. Susceptible to the Emerald Ash Borer beetle, though lesser so than other species of ash.

Growing Conditions:
Full sun, prefers deep, moist, well-drained soils.

Uses:
Nice symmetrical shade tree with unusual and brilliant fall color.

Leaves:
The leaves are a fine, deep green in summer, becoming red purple in fall.

Ash gray to gray-brown with thin furrows.

Native to eastern North America. Ashes can be susceptible to diseases and insect issues.
