- Summer Inspector TrainingFriends of Trees Eugene Metro, 338 W 11th Ave #103, Eugene, OR 97401, USAMay 30, 2019
Summer inspectors are always one of our most popular volunteers roles.
Why? These trained volunteers learn how to assess the health of newly planted street and yard trees and give homeowners watering and mulching tips. Being a summer inspector gives you a chance to meet your neighbors and to help them take care of their trees during the critical first summer after planting. Each inspector checks on his or her assigned trees twice during the summer, wrapping up by mid August. Plus, you get to stroll around Eugene or Springfield's beautiful neighborhoods in the summer sun at your own leisure. Not a bad way to do good work.
Our training is Thursday, May 30th from 6:00-7:30 pm. Refreshments will be provided! RSVP is required. RSVP here.

We will have a brief demonstration of proper pruning technique, then break into small teams and practice our new skills on some trees near the office. RSVP is required~

Time: We will open the doors at 5:30 for food, drink, and mingling fun. Training starts promptly at 6:00.
