North Johnson Creek Trail (SW Portland)

Due to popular interest, this event is now full and closed to further groups.  Please consider any of our other open events!  Individuals and small groups of 4 or fewer are still welcome to simply show up.
Join Friends of Trees and Neighbors for Smart Growth in planting native trees and shrubs along a new trail extension near North Johnson Creek. This planting is made possible with support from Clean Water Services and Metro’s Nature In Neighborhoods grant program.

  • Volunteer parking is available in the physician and employee parking structure (provided by the hospital), please make sure to avoid parking in the handicap stalls on floors LL1, LL2,1,2 & 4-8

Please arrive around 8:45am to be registered and assigned to a crew. The event will start promptly at 9:00am. We provide breakfast snacks and hot chocolate/coffee, as well as gloves, tools and guidance. Please come dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy, closed-toe shoes and get ready to have fun!

Are you under age 18 and planting without your parent/guardian? A signed youth waiver is required for you to volunteer. We kindly request youth 15 years and younger are accompanied by an adult.
