This community planting has been canceled. Covid-19 rates remain high, new virus strains are a concern, vaccination rates in Oregon are low, and Multnomah County is considered "Extreme Risk" by the State of Oregon. For all these reasons, we feel it is irresponsible to gather a group of people, even outdoors with proper safety protocol.

Friends of trees is excited to partner with Portland OIC, Outgrowing Hunger, and the City of Gresham with support from the East Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District and Metro to help restore Nadaka Nature Park, an amazing natural area and adored public park in East County. The park serves the diverse residents of the area with a community garden, natural play area, and picnic shelter. We will be planting native trees, shrubs, and wildflowers as well as removing invasive species including Himalayan Blackberry and English Ivy.

We need your help to plant shade tolerant native shrubs, wildflowers, and ferns at one of our original planting sites in Memorial Park! Nearly 20 years ago Friends of Trees and the City of Wilsonville planted a section of field near the Willamette River. Now that area has the start of a healthy forest growing and is ready for us to add the understory plants to give this patch of habitat an important boost!

Your help is needed to plant native trees and shrubs near the confluence of Rock Creek and the Clackamas River. Friends of Trees is partnering with the Windswept Waters HOA to enhance this important natural area in Clackamas County. This planting is possible with the support of Clackamas County Water Environment Services.
