Wyden introduces tree-planting bill to Senate

Senator Ron Wyden introduced the small business tree-planting bill to the Senate today, one week after Friends of Trees Executive Director Scott Fogarty and countless other green infrastructure proponents lobbied in Washington D.C.

Friends of Trees advocates for trees in D.C.

Friends of Trees had a big week in Washington D.C., joining hundreds of other tree proponents to speak on behalf of green infrastructure and specifically the capitalization of trees.

-Rail Trail parking lot along Wintel Road-

Conference begins with I-205 service project

Tree curriculum: October events

Sept. 29 to Oct. 17 is Tree Steward training with Portland Public Parks & Recreation

Seven session course covers general and advanced arbor care, tree biology, identification, planting and preservation. Once trained, neighborhood tree stewards work with PP&R staff on tree projects. Class is for ages 14 and up and costs $25.
