Friends of Trees is only a few weeks into its I-205 multi-use path partnership with Metro and ODOT, and already there is an uproar.

I-205 multi-use path begins to grow … trees

Friends of Trees and its Green Space Initiative (GSI) program officially started planting along the I-205 multi-use path Saturday.

Biking geophysicist to study health benefits of trees

Weekday crew leaders make up for lost time

Don’t look now interstate highway, trees are coming

It has been four months since Metro unanimously approved the largest capital grant in its history to plant more than 2,000 trees along the I-205 multi-use path.
Now the planting sites are secure.

—Treehoo!, not to be confused with other ‘-hoo!’-suffixed Internet search engines, is calling itself the world’s first green search engine, using 50 percent of its net profit to plant trees worldwide.

Rare tree felled from Seattle arboretum

A possibly irreplaceable tree valued at over $10,000 was cut down this week in Seattle from Washington Park Arboretum, reports the Seattle Times.

Three southeast neighborhoods get 125 trees

The weather in the morning dipped below 32 degrees Saturday, Dec. 5, but the vibrant volunteers and home owners from the Buckman, Hosford-Abernethy and Richmond neighborhoods were not deterred.

Corvallis groups plant 61 trees

Corvallis residents and partner groups worked together to plant 61 trees last weekend. The native trees were 1.5-2” caliper, generally 7-9 feet tall, and donated by the local Sierra Club.
