3,631 trees and shrubs planted in two months

It’s almost time for Friends of Trees to give thanks.
Thanksgiving, Nov. 26, marks the two-month mark for this year’s planting season. In two months and only seven full plantings, Friends of Trees planted 3,631 trees and shrubs.

Neighborhood Trees Crew Leader Training in Sellwood – Westmoreland and Brooklyn

Crew leader training at Audubon Society

Green Space Initiative held a crew leader training and planting at the Audubon Society, Nov. 14.
Veteran crew leaders trained about 30 rookies on safety and planting techniques like tubing, mulching and matting.

20th Anniversary party slideshow

Five new trees for North Omaha park blocks

Most of the English speaking and writing press reports that Prince Charles and wife Camilla flew home to England today after an 11-day Canadian tour.

Feds moving in on Portland’s Big Pipe

The Oregonian reports this morning that the Environmental Protection Agency is butting heads with Oregon’s Department of Environmental Quality and Portland’s Bureau of Environmental Services over the Big Pipe and additional Columbia River safeguards.
