This 20-footer grew fast on the Friends of Trees' lot. (FOT file)
A native of Japan, this disease-resistant deciduous has small, triangular fruit. It is known as a substitute for the American Elm, is a fast-grower, and can fit in a six to eight-foot planting strip without power lines.
